My Single Favorite Trick to Accelerate Wealth Building
Wealth is a game of abundance and it requires people. What does this mean? It means there is no scarcity and you have to involve others to really win. Real wealth is not a zero-sum game. If one person wins it does not mean another person loses. Anyone who treats wealth as a scarcity is operating out of fear and simply won’t accomplish it.
Today we are going to talk about how collaboration is one of the most powerful wealth building tools. Collaboration at its root means “work with”. Work is the completion of a cycle of action and with collaboration means in partnership with others. We want to find someone who has a common goal and complete a cycle of action in partnership with them that helps us both. These are the reasons why collaboration is a potent wealth building tool.
1. Your network really does impact your net worth. The more people you know and the more people that know you, the more money you can make. The more opportunities you will have. The more problems will be solved by you and for you. There is also power in knowing someone who knows someone. Some of my most successful wealth building ventures came to fruition because I met a person who knows other people and they made an introduction that turned out to be very valuable for me (and for them).
2. It is less work when many hands are involved. In my company, we work with specialists. I am a specialist in education and coaching. It’s what I’ve done since the age of 18 and it’s what I’m good at. I don’t build Sacred Accounts myself. I could, but instead, I choose to collaborate and I have specialists who do that. This allows me to educate more people and then my specialists help them open a Sacred Account. Same with estate planning, asset protection, taxes, investments, etc. A cohesive team allows my clients to get the very best experience and to expand their network simply as a result of working with me (because I then introduce them to my own network). Also, each specialist may look at something for a client with a slightly different vantage point or set of eyes and this can result in an overall better strategy for the end client.
3. You save time and money. For example, when a client of mine needs estate planning and asset protection, I have them work with my asset protection specialist. They don’t need to go out and do hours of research, spending time and money experimenting to find the right person for the job. They simply get to plug right in to a trusted expert. Not only that, but because of the relationship I have with the different specialists I work with, they often give my clients steep discounts since they came from my network. Time and money are two of our most valuable resources and anything that allows me to save on them is a good thing!
The key to wealth is Make-Keep-Multiply. This goes for money, assets, friends, connections, influence, followers…anything! To grow your net worth through your network you must make connections, keep connections, and multiply connections.
